ASCENT: MASKLINGS — Windows pre-alpha test guide

This is an unfinished test, not a commercial release. Errors and untranslated
screens may remain. Core UI previews are available in Korean, English, Japanese
and Spanish. Full translation and native-speaker review are not complete.
The build has not been verified on a physical Windows PC. Build/ZIP checks do
not verify Windows startup, controller behavior or delivery of reports.
See build-info.json and tester-manifest.json for version, date and source identity.

INSTALL AND PLAY
1. Extract the ENTIRE ZIP into a new folder. Do not run from inside the ZIP or
move the EXE alone. Keep UnityPlayer.dll and AscentMasklings_Data beside it.
2. Open AscentMasklings.exe. Unity and Steam are not required for this local test.
If Windows or security software blocks it, do not disable protection; report
the message through the test invitation's feedback route.
3. Choose Language in the game. Unsupported device languages default to English.
4. Read the reporting choice: Yes agrees to automatic error/performance reports;
No plays without collection/sending. Nothing starts before first consent.
A saved choice may skip this screen. Check Settings → Diagnostics collection/sending.
5. Default controls: WASD move, Space/left mouse attack, left Shift/right mouse
dash, E skill, Esc pause. Follow the in-game prompts if bindings are changed.
Xbox layout: left stick move, right stick aim, A attack, B dash, X skill.
6. Quit normally through Esc → Quit game → confirm. Sending may delay exit by
up to about 8 seconds. Do not delete existing saves or settings.

OPTIONAL REPORTING ON WINDOWS
Destination: KCREW, https://ascent.maskling.com/test-reports/ingest.php
Reports include run/build IDs, progress, role, seed, resolution, FPS/stalls,
error types and game-code locations, not raw logs, accounts, chat, voice or images.
The HTTPS server connection may process/log an IP address. Diagnostic JSON does
not include it. Server retention is up to about 31 days. Failed uploads stay on
this PC and may retry on a later consented run. This is not a guarantee of receipt.
Withdraw in Settings → Diagnostics collection/sending → No. Withdrawal stops new
collection/sending, not deletion of reports already received. If saving fails,
only this session is stopped; a previous choice may apply at the next launch.
OPEN_REPORTS.cmd can show AutoReceiptV1.txt: check its session/time; a missing or
old receipt does not confirm this run, and a receipt does not prove all final data arrived.
Automatic reports do not collect feedback about game enjoyment. Report startup
failures, difficult controls and unclear combat cues through the invitation's
existing feedback route. Review files/images for personal details before sharing.
Android/iOS reporting and internet co-op are not verified by this Windows package.
